Sheri Gieseck, 50, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 6, 1973, in Lancaster, Ohio, and throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her kindness and compassion.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Robert and Alice Grover; her beloved daughter, Alyssa (Taylor) Marchetta; her cherished son, Darren Gieseck; and her adored granddaughter Ellianna Marchetta. Sheri was a devoted sister to Angela Bowden, Gwenna (Robert) Carter, and brother Bryan Grover. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Sheri was preceded in death by her nephew, Jeffrey Bowden, who she now joins in eternal peace.
Her most treasured role was that of a dedicated and loving mother and most recently grandmother. Her children were her pride and joy, the rainbows of her life, and her granddaughter was the pot of gold.
Sheri was a proud 1991 graduate of Bloom-Carroll High School. She had a soft spot for animals and people alike, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Sheri always loved a coney dog & chocolate shake from Schaffner’s, her annual visit to the Fairfield County Fair for fair food, especially fries with vinegar, and coffee from her favorite cafe in Las Vegas. She also enjoyed listening to music, usually country or rock, while working around the house.
Sheri's absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will forever shine in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we gather to celebrate her life, let us find comfort in the love she shared and the lives she touched.
