C.C., as she is affectionately known, gained her heavenly wings on February 3, 2023, after a lengthy illness. She is preceded in death by her mother, Susan Baggette and stepfather, Charles (Deedy) Straughter.
Selena is survived by her loving sister, Marci (Marcella) Straughter; aunts, uncles and cousins of the Jones and Scales families and Straughter and Kelly families.
Selena was a long-time resident of Los Angeles, California. Also, she was a 25-year employee of the party and planning company, Event Works. She retired due to illness. An avid card player, Selena was a member of the organized card club, Bid Masters.
Selena’s joyfulness was contagious, and she lived life to the fullest. We love you C.C. May you rest in heavenly peace.
An informal gathering will take place in C.C.’s honor at the Columbus Metropolitan Library on March 4, 2023, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Day Funeral Service is honored to serve the family of Selena Antoinette Baggette-Akaose,
