Robin Blaine Johnson, age 63, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on December 23, 2024, after a lengthy battle with numerous health issues.
Robin was born on November 14, 1961, to Antonio Macio and Gladys English Johnson.
After graduating from high school, Robin enlisted in the United States Air Force where he held a leadership position of Staff Sergeant where he was responsible for safekeeping of secret information pertaining to national security. He provided hospitality services to base personnel, oversaw quality assurance for base dining facilities and performed accounting duties for base personnel.
Robin’s recognitions and achievements while in service are as follows: Air Force Achievement Medal; Air Force Good Conduct Medal with To Oak Leaf Clusters; National Defense Medal; Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon; Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon; Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with one Oak Leaf Cluster; NCO Professional Education Graduate Ribbon with one Oak Leaf Cluster; Air Force Training Ribbon; Continuous Active Honorable Service from 23 Jan 1982 to 25 Mar 1992.
After a medical emergency and a deficient surgical procedure, Robin received an honorable discharge from active duty. Robin went on to receive his associate degree in Microcomputer Technology from Columbus State Community College and worked as a Math Department Lab Assistant.
Robin is the proud father of Carina, Darius and Jason Johnson.
Robin enjoyed fishing, researching his family history, eating out, looking dapper, and encouraging others to be their best.
Robin is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio M., Gladys E., his brothers, Lewis Johnson, Antonio Johnson, III and Terry Johnson, niece, Erica Johnson, nephews Johnny Sullivan, Isiah and TJ-Terrell Johnson, sisters-in-laws, Velma and Pam Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memory, three children, Carina, Darius and Jason and grandchildren. His siblings, Richard (Azalea), Antonietta, Wayne (Kim), Theresa, Philip, Dexter, Karol, Gary, Wanda Malone, a host of nieces and nephews, many close family members and special friends.
Robin will be respectfully laid to rest with his parents at Arlington Field of Honor, Canal Winchester.
