Raymond Michael Puzines
March 12, 1958 — May 22, 2024
Raymond Michael Puzines (Mike), passed away on May 22, 2024, at the age of 66. Throughout his recent battle with medical issues, Mike showed his unwavering courage, facing any challenge life brought him with a smile. Even through his pain, Mike stayed strong until the end.
Born to Jack Puzines and Florence Langdon in Columbus, Ohio, on March 12, 1958; Mike spent his adult life raising a family with his wife Carla (Scott) Puzines.
Mike will always be remembered for his hardworking mentality. He began moving houses at a young age with his stepfather, Ray Oldham, before becoming a diesel mechanic and, eventually, a truck driver. There was not much Mike couldn’t do, when faced with a struggle, Mike would always figure it out.
Mike knew how to appreciate the simpler pleasures of life. He spent his time playing poker at his son’s home, cutting firewood, mowing, gardening, and spending time in the garage with his son in law, the two had recently began refurbishing old John Deere tractors. Mike also enjoyed trying his luck at the lottery, hoping to hit it big. Anytime spent with family and friends was priceless to him, especially time spent with his grandchildren.
Mike’s friendly personality, allowing him to know no strangers, will be lovingly remembered by his forever friend, Carla Puzines, his children Chrissy (Joe) Scaffidi, Mike (Danielle Poe) Puzines, and Taylor Puzines, his brother, Shawn Puzines, as well as his grandchildren: Joey, Sophia, Camryn, Tommy, Abigail, and Maddie, along with his many nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Puzines and Florence Langdon, stepfather, Roy Briggs, sister, Becky Renfro, brother, Gus Puzines, and his grandmother -the love of his life- Genevieve “Granny” Oldham.
Friends and family are asked to join together in celebration of Mike’s life on June 15, 2024 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Sunbury, Ohio from 2-6 PM.
