Matthew John Pugliese, Sr., 69, most recently of Columbus, OH, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024 after a three year decline due to dementia. Matthew was born on October 11, 1955 in Norwalk, CT, to Liberato and Antonette (nee. Galletta) Pugliese.
Matthew was preceded in death by his parents, and his nephew, Marcus Hunter Pugliese.
He is survived by his children, Matthew (Shannon) Pugliese and Ashley (Micah) Thompson; his grandchildren, Gabriel and Elliana Pugliese, and Graham, Hudson, and Grayson Thompson; his brothers Roger (Carol) Pugliese and Albert (Susan) Pugliese; his nephews, Joshua and Fisher Pugliese; the mother of his children, Robin (nee Odum) Shea; and his dear friend, Beth Burns.
A private service was held for immediate family on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. He received a green interment, as a tribute to his years of service in advocating for the environment. He was laid to rest at Union Grove Cemetery - 400 Winchester Cemetery Road, Canal Winchester, OH.
