Lori Jane Griffith (Knecht), age 56, passed away on February 23, 2023. She had been struggling with breathing issues for a few years, and unfortunately, her heart stopped during her last episode. She was born on January 8,1967, in Lancaster, Ohio, to Lorene and Darrell Griffith. Her mother, Lorene Juniper, preceded her in death in 2019; her brother, Scott Griffith, preceded her in death in 2020; stepfather, Gerald Juniper, preceded her in death in 2022; and her brother, Mark Juniper, preceded her in death in 2015.
Lori was loved by many, and she gave love back fiercely to everyone she knew. She was always helping people in any way she could with what she had. She loved butterflies, lighthouses, and angels. Lori loved going to church. If she could not make it to a service, she would view it online. She was so full of faith and believed in it so much her "I love you to the moon and back" friend (Alice) refers to Hebrews 11:1 to Lori: "Hebrews 11:1, ESV: Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1, KJV: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Lori loved her family and friends as well has her "Bella sisters" and would do anything for them. She had various jobs throughout her life and made many friends wherever she went. She loved to take bus trips with family and friends all over. She loved to go camping with her mother and grandchildren and did a lot before her mother passed. Her love for animals was just as strong, she always had a dog or cat and she spoiled them and doted on them whenever she could. She made so many friends, a lot she has never even met, but they still consider her one of their good friends.
Lori will be missed by many but never forgotten for many different reasons. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to one daughter and four granddaughters. A beloved sister to her brothers and sisters, and a beloved daughter to her mother and father. She was beloved by all her friends and the people that knew her.
Lori is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Elick; granddaughters, Kayla Shumaker, Dawn Shumaker, Ariel Corrigall and Angel Corrigall; father, Darrell Raymond Griffith; brothers, Darrell Lee Griffith, Shane Griffith and Michael Juniper; sister, Tina Juniper; sisters-in-law, Crystal Rother and Sharon Juniper; aunt, Linda Wagner; various other family members and her many nephews and nieces-all of whom she loved deeply.
