John William Moore, 81, of Canal Winchester, Ohio passed away on October 11th, 2023, at Country View of Sunbury, where he was lovingly cared for.
John was born on April 2nd, 1942, in Mount Vernon, Ohio. In his early life, John attended Fairview Free Will Baptist Church and was married to Darnell Patrick in 1963. He retired from Borden’s in 1998 where he served as a payroll manager. Throughout his life, he worked hard and enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends.
John now joins his sister, Rose (Eddie) Ernest and parents William and Grathel Moore in heaven. John is survived by his three sons, Justin (Amy) Moore, Michael (Tom) Moore, and Jeffrey Moore, and beloved grandchildren: Jacob, Andrew, and Ethan Moore, as well as his siblings, Rick (Mary Jo) Moore and Peggy (Bill) Liggett, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
John’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 4-5 p.m. on Friday October 20th, 2023 at Brandon Baptist Church, located at 13513 Sycamore Rd., Mt Vernon, OH 43050. A service honoring John’s life will immediately follow the visitation.
