Harold Blair, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at age 86 on December 15, 2024. Born in Columbus on June 24, 1938, Harold proudly served his country in the Army for 9 months before continuing his service with the U.S. Navy. His dedication to his nation was a testament to his character and values.
After his military career, Harold embarked on a new chapter as a machinist and truck driver, roles in which he found great fulfillment.
Harold was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lydia (Knapp) Blair, wonderful mother, Cora (Spillman) Myers his cherished son, Charles (Blair) Luster, and his dear sister, Esther (Miller) Baxter. He leaves behind his loving daughters, Teresa Jardine and Tania Wallace, as well as a loving multitude of grandchildren who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
A graveside service to celebrate Harold's life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11 AM at Arlington Field of Honor, Union Grove Cemetery.
