Barbara Louise Best Leach

Barbara Louise Best Leach, 89, passed away peacefully at The Ohio State University Hospital on November 7, 2022. Barbara was born on March 5, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Bertram M. Best and Mamie E. Vanlear; daughter, Linda Leach; son, Ricky Leach; brother, David Best; and niece and nephews, Joann Disbennett, Jimmy Partlow, and Robin Partlow. She is survived by two sons, Rusty (Kim) Leach and Mike Leach; one daughter, Barbara (Mike) Belair; five grandchildren, Justin (Jocelyn) Leach, Brandon (Mary) Leach, Leandra Schiefer (Matt), Amanda Johnson, and Michael Belair; two great-grandchildren, Cora and Caden Schiefer; sister, Marilyn Partlow; and niece, Brenda Davis.
Barbara was a single mother of five children and managed to keep all her children together. She enjoyed watching TV and cheering on the OSU football team. Her favorite daytime show was General Hospital, which she watched with her daughter, Barbara. Her favorite musician was Elvis Presley.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held in her honor on Saturday November 19, 2022, at noon with a visitation 30 minutes prior at Wonderland Community Church, located at 4693 Friendship Dr., Gahanna, OH 43230. After the ceremony there will be a gathering at Gatsby's (151 N. Hamilton Rd.).
