Alice Faye Criswell, born Alice Faye McCallister on December 12, 1934, in Putnam County, West Virginia, passed away on April 19, 2024, in Newark, Ohio. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Alice was a homemaker as well as serving others through her volunteer work with local charities and her church. She found joy in her work and touched the lives of many through her kindness and hard work. She especially loved working with children.
Her faith was a guiding light in her life, providing her with strength and comfort.
In her free time, Alice enjoyed sketching animals, showcasing her artistic talent and love for animals. She was often spotted in the bleachers supporting her children's sports activities and the audience during their recitals and performances.
Alice is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Criswell, her sons Craig (Sheri) Criswell and David (Dorothy) Criswell, her daughter Debbie (Joe) Gallant, as well as 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles W. McCallister, her mother, Kate V. Rooper, her aunt and uncle who raised her after the death of her parents, Albert and Alice (McCallister) Thacker, her grandsons Christopher, Bailey and Taylor Gallant.
Alice will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. A service will be held on Saturday June 1, 2024 at Discovery Church, 750 Cross Pointe Rd, Gahanna OH 43230 at 11am. Burial at Union Grove Cemetery, Canal Winchester Ohio.
