Alfreda Harris, age 70, of Newark, Ohio, passed away on October 9, 2023. Alfreda was born on May 25, 1953, to Alfred and Luegene Harris in Brooklyn, New York.
After receiving her college graduate degree in business, she kickstarted her career in banking on wall street, which led her to becoming a successful word processing specialist, and later onto her entrepreneurial accomplishments.
She relocated to Ohio circa 1990 to live closer to her mother and family. She loved music, travelling and spending time with her loved ones. She was a passionate cook and enjoyed sharing her excellent culinary skills with family and friends.
Alfreda is preceded in death by parents, Alfred and Luegene Harris; sister, Alyce Croom; and brother, George H. Croom, Jr. She is survived by her son, De’Andre’ (Cassandra) White; grandchildren, Andrade’ White, DeAndre’ White Jr., KaSedre’ White, and DeVandre’ White; brother, Christopher Harris; sister-in-law, Annie Croom; nephew, Justice Cutler; a host of great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins; and special friend, Charity Connor.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all.
Viewing to be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, 11:00am at Discovery Church, 750 Cross Pointe Road Ste. L, Gahanna Ohio, 43230. Service to immediately follow at 12:00pm.
